Travel information

• Travel in Amsterdam:
  Amsterdam is a safe city, you can walk just about anywhere at any time of the day/night. But watch out for pick-pockets in particular on public transport.
   
• About the airport:
  Detailed information about the airport Schiphol (Amterdam International Airport) and its services can be found at http://www.schiphol.nl.
   
• KLM Shuttle service:
  The KLM Shuttle drives to and from Schiphol Airport. Stops in front of the arrival hall at the airport. Arrival and departure in front of the hotel.
   
• By foot from the Central Station (10 minutes)
  Take the main exit and walk directly over the square. After you cross Prins Hendrikkade you will find yourself on the Damrak. Walk along this street until you get to the Damsquare. You will see NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on your left.
   
• Public Transport:
  At Schiphol Airport take a train that stops at Amsterdam Central Station. From the square in front of the station you can take tramlines 4,9,16,17,20,24 or 25. All of these trams stop at De Bijenkorf, that is where you will exit the tram. You will see NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky after a few meters on your left.
   
• By car

  from The Hague/Schiphol (A4)
  Follow A4 direction Amsterdam Zaanstad
  Follow A10 direction RAI/Amersfoort
  Take the exit S 112, at the end turn left direction Centrum
  Make a quarter circle on the Prins Bernhardplein, then turn right on to the Wibautstraat
  After 10 traffic lights you turn left direction centrum
  Over the bridge you turn right
  At the end of this road you turn right onto the Rokin.
  Drive along the Rokin until the Dam Square here you turn right.
  You will see the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and parking in front of you.

  from Zaanstad (A8) and Haarlem
  Arriving at the "Coenplein" intersection follow the direction A10West/Den Haag
  Take the exit S 103, then follow Centrum
  At the end of this road you turn left over the bridge
  The next 5 traffic lights straight on and then directly over the bridge you turn right.
  You are now on the Gelderse kade and will pass by the nieuwmarkt
  When you see the police station (on your left) you turn to the right.
  Turn left to the Kloveniersburgwal
  Take the 2nd road at your right Rusland, at the end of this you turn right at canal
  On the bridge you turn left on to the Damstraat
  Then you turn right onto the Dam Square and you will see the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and parking on your right.

  from Utrecht (A2)
  From the A2, you follow direction Centrum
  Over the bridge at the traffic lights you turn right onto the Amsteldijk
  At the end of this road you turn left onto the Stadhouderskade
  Take the 2nd road on your right (Vijzelgracht) and go straight on at the roundabout
  You will follow this street until you get to the Muntplein, here you follow the road and drive onto the Rokin.
  Drive along the Rokin until the Dam Sqaure here you turn right.
  You will see the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and parking in front of you.

  from Amersfoort/Almere (A1)
  Arriving at the "Watergraafsmeer", follow direction A10 Noord/Zaanstad/Purmerend.
  You will go through the Zeeburgertunnel and take the exit S116 Amsterdam Noord/Centrum.
  You will pass the IJtunnel and go straight, direction Centrum Zuid. Follow this road straight on.
  Over the bridge you turn right
  At the end of this road you turn right onto the Rokin.
  Drive along the Rokin until the Dam Square here you turn right.
  You will see the NH Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky and parking in front of you.
